This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro RS Convertible is a frame-off restomod built around a supercharged ZL1 6.2L LSA pulled from a 2014 Camaro donor with just 21,000 miles. Finished in Black PPG J89 paint with white vinyl SS stripes and a deluxe houndstooth interior, this is a first-gen Camaro built to perform as hard as it looks. Backed by a 6-speed Tremec TH6060 transmission, a Quick Performance 9-inch rear end, and four-wheel disc brakes, this build was engineered from the ground up with no corners cut. This is not a show car that happens to run — it is a purpose-built machine that happens to turn heads.

FRAME-OFF FIRST-GEN. SUPERCHARGED LSA.
This 1968 Camaro RS Convertible was torn down to bare metal and rebuilt as a complete restomod — not restored to stock, but engineered to a higher standard than it ever left the factory. The supercharged ZL1 LSA sits in a 1968 body that has been structurally reinforced with BMR frame braces and custom fabricated frame ties, making this a cohesive build rather than a collection of parts. Black PPG J89 paint with white vinyl SS stripes and a deluxe houndstooth interior give the car a classic appearance that doesn't telegraph what's under the hood. Every system on this car has been addressed — nothing was left untouched.

PERFORMANCE & HISTORY
Supercharged LSA. Tremec 6-Speed.
Power comes from a supercharged 6.2L ZL1 LSA sourced from a 2014 Camaro donor car with just 21,000 miles, backed by a Tremec TH6060 6-speed transmission with a TCI billet shift eliminator and reverse lockout. The drivetrain is completed by a Quick Performance 9-inch rear end with Eaton Posi-Trac at 3.70 gearing and a custom aluminum Shaftmasters driveshaft. Cooling and fueling are handled by a DH Racing intercooler, Bosch intercooler pump, Evil Energy fuel lines and fittings, Alloyworks billet fuel rails, and a Sanden R7 mini compressor. Headers with Evil Energy connections feed a 3-inch black Heart exhaust for a tone that matches the build.

The 1968 RS body wears Black PPG J89 paint with DCU2002 clear and white vinyl SS stripes — finished to a standard that respects the original silhouette without mimicking a factory car. A new convertible top from Convertible Top Guys features a zip-out rear window, and new Goodmark latches keep it properly secured. Sitting on 17-inch American Racing wheels wrapped in Nitto 555 tires front and rear, the stance is period-correct with modern grip. Inside, the houndstooth deluxe interior is paired with Dakota Digital VHX 68C gauges, an MGW shifter with billet handle, a Forever Sharp billet steering wheel, and an Audio Sounds radio with iPhone controls and kick panel speakers.
